Can you tell us bit about yourself and Self-letting.com ?

My name is Adedotun Samuel Adesanya Founder / Managing Director Kaakaki Consultancy Limited and Founder/ CEO Self-Letting.com, I  studied Economics / Social Science from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Master in Business Administration ( MBA - Finance) from University of  Gloucestershire, United  Kingdom, Graduate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management and Member of Chartered Institute of Management, United Kingdom.

How long has it been in existence and what motivated you to start this company?

Kaakaki Consultancy Limited is a business and strategic consultation organization based in United Kingdom incorporated August 2013, rendering services to European and  African organizations. Kaakaki Consultancy Limited did market research  about housing in Nigeria, we understand that letting and property  sharing can be a worrying experience and with this in mind our most important consideration is providing landlord with the best possible  service and the right tenant for your property. Self-Letting.com was launched 23rd April, 2015

How does self-letting.com work and what does its users stand to benefit?

Whether you are a landlord seeking responsible, quality tenants for  your  property or a tenant searching for a home or tenant seeking  flatmate post Advert with pictures for FREE, start receiving calls and  messages for  viewing, choose the responsible one. These are the crucial elements required when advertising.

Photographs: By far the most important thing we've got to say is pictures matter. Humans are very visual creatures and with such a huge list of potential apartment share and house share options in front of them, it takes at least four good photos to really get your ad noticed.

Video: A quick two-minute  tour around the property shot on your phone gives a far more detailed  look at the place, and a better sense of scale than any photo, so people know exactly what they're getting.

Detail. When it comes to writing about your place and making it sound attractive to a potential flat mate, detail is important. At least make an effort to make it sound worth a look. Also, what sort of person are you looking for? Surely not just anyone. More importantly, what sort of person are you not looking for? Filter out the unsuitable candidates by being clear on the sort of place you have to offer and the sort of person you'd like to move in. Self-Letting.com has turned this process on its head and given you, the potential new landlord, the opportunity to use the platform find tenants. The other benefits are manifold; from saving money as both a renter and letter, and the opportunity to live in a property and area you may not otherwise be able to afford, to the social side.

How do you assess the accommodation situation in Nigeria?

We have over 170million human population in Nigeria. Properties are advertised by commercial agents, chartered surveyors, owners, landlords, tenants and professionals throughout Nigeria.

Where do you see this business in the next few years?

Remain only #1 letting and sharing property in Nigeria, Work with different charities organization in Nigeria to reduce poverty
