Dac Systems, a national specialist services provider focused on turnkey implementations of leading edge industry solutions, has applied its expertise and a unique, treble technology solution to assist its client to address Pre-SAP Master Data control as part of its ERP strategy.
Master Data refers to static, non-transactional and reference data. A key component of any ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning is control over Pre-SAP, specifically regarding the application and approval process.
To help its client, an international mining company, achieve the levels of required technology intervention within the ERP process, Dac Systems put forward a combination of SharePoint Server 2010, Nintex Workflow for SharePoint 2010 and Nintex Forms 2010.
The combination of these technologies facilitated the seamless control of Master Data in preparation and execution of critical ERP processes.
“This was a cost effective option that would ensure that rapid deployment could be achieved,” explains Aldo van Tonder, Solutions Executive at Dac Systems. “To the best of our knowledge, this is the first of its kind type of solution using these technologies.”
A go-live date of SAP had already been pre-determined by the client and there was also the added challenge of the potential cost associated with such an implementation of Master Data Management.
The aforementioned triple technology solution was the result of an interactive, proactive consultation process.
The integration of this high-tech solution has provided the client with significant benefits, including the ability to configure and change required processes and forms without having to rely on costly consultants.
“The cost of the project was a fraction of what it would have been had other technologies been used,” adds van Tonder.
