[MTN South Africa] Gautrain to have access to voice and data services

MTN South Africa says frustrated commuters using the Gautrain will be able to have access to voice and data services from 03 July at the Park Station, Sandton and Rosebank stations, following the installation of a high speed network.

Until now, commuters using the Gautrain could not use their mobile devices due to unavailability of connectivity on this rapid transit railway system.

MTN also said that it will deploy its network to blanket other parts of the Gautrain network.

MTN's network deployment on Gautrain comes against the backdrop of a partnership that Vodacom signed with the Department of Roads and Transport, the Gautrain Management Agency, Bombela Concession Company and the Strategic Partners Group.
