[Standard Bank] Africa Investors Conference brings together investors and corporates to discuss Africa investment opportunities

The Deputy Governor of the South African Reserve Bank, Daniel Mminele, is one of the delegates attending the Africa Investors Conference, which starts in London today.

The three-day conference, hosted by Standard Bank Group and ICBC Standard Bank at their London offices, brings together executives from top listed African companies and international institutional investors to discuss investment opportunities on the continent.

More than 270 delegates are expected to attend the conference, which is aimed at boosting investment in Africa.

The Africa Investors Conference provides a high-level networking platform for international institutional investors to engage with leading policymakers and top listed African companies.

The conference format consists of one-on-one and small group business meetings between African corporates and international institutional investors that allow attendees to network and discuss investment opportunities in Africa. There are also panel discussions with policymakers.

This is the fifth year that Standard Bank is sponsoring this prestigious event. ICBC Standard Bank, which purchased a 60% stake in Standard Bank Plc in January this year, is involved for the first time.

Last year's event was attended by over 150 delegates, comprising government ministers, central bankers, investors and corporates from numerous African countries.

This year representatives from over 45 African corporates as well as over 100 equity and fixed income investors will be attending.
