WTM Africa partners with revered ASATA Diners Club Awards

World Travel Market (WTM) Africa has great pleasure in announcing its partnership with South Africa’s top travel industry service and excellence awards, the ASATA Diners Club Awards.

The Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA) together with Diners Club recognise the travel industry’s top contributors and influencers on an annual basis. These awards reflect excellence and outstanding service in the industry and these awards give winners a tremendous sense of pride and purpose.

CEO of ASATA, Otto De Vries says, “Over the years ASATA has regularly promoted the services of our travel agency and wholesale members, and the annual awards recognise those individuals who have contributed to the professional image of this dynamic industry.”

Individuals are nominated by their peers and an elected panel of judges commit to awarding nominees who meet the industry list of criteria. This year, the awards ceremony will be taking place on 28 February 2015 at the Montecasino Ballroom in Johannesburg.

One of WTM Africa’s key objectives is to further promote Southern Africa as a key influencer in the global travel market and what better way to cultivate this, than by recognising those who continuously aim to make South Africa an international leader in the market. In light of this, WTM Africa will be sending two ASATA Diners Club winners to the world-renowned WTM London in November this year.

WTM Africa is the leading B2B tourism event in Africa, catering to both inbound and outbound tourism and will be taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 15 to 17 April 2015.
